I'm half way to my goal - Yes! ! !

I am now half way to my goal of saving enough money for the year and being able to take off in October. YES! I am having a harder time of convincing my daughters I will be just fine...the look of angst on their faces as I describe my plans must be what my face looked like through their teenage years..... I am walking five kilometers every day....power walking...tried to jog but my knees start to hurt so the power walking seems to be doing the trick. The stamina is building up little by little. Don't like the physical changes age brings with it but love the mental outlook and the feeling of release one has when you look back and see you made it thus far. Most of the things you worried about either didn't come true or did come true and you came through it. Gives a person a whole new perspective!

Love Mexico and the people of Mexico. My next step is to find a road worthy vehicle. This will be my biggest challenge....or perhaps I need to call it a "miracle" considering my budget. But I have faith there is an old camperized van out there that has not travelled very far and is sitting it out right now wishing she could be driving down some highway with a somewhat eccentric old thing at the wheel.
